Lionel Messi makes emotional return to Inter Miami

Lionel Messi returned to play for Inter Miami CF just four days after the death of his father, Jorge Messi, who was laid to rest in a private ceremony in Rosario, Argentina on Sunday. Messi came on as a substitute in Inter Miami's 3-2 loss to Club León in their final Leagues Cup Phase One match. The emotional return came shortly after Messi had posted a tribute to his father on social media, and less than a month after leading Argentina to a second consecutive FIFA World Cup final.
