Lionel Messi makes MLS history with back-to-back Golden Boot wins despite Decision Day blank

Lionel Messi has made MLS history by winning the Golden Boot for a second consecutive season, becoming the first player in the league's history to claim the award back to back. The Inter Miami captain secured the accolade despite failing to score on Decision Day, the final round of the 2026 MLS regular season. The achievement further cements Messi's impact on the league since joining Inter Miami.
