Lionesses take control of World Cup playoff tie but unfancied Greece still in fight

England's Lionesses beat Greece 3-1 in the first leg of their Women's World Cup qualifying playoff, with goals from Georgia Stanway, Maya Le Tissier (her first England goal) and Alessia Russo. Kallisti Brouksair scored a consolation for Greece, keeping the tie alive ahead of Tuesday's second leg. Manager Sarina Wiegman acknowledged England had been 'a bit sloppy' despite securing a valuable away victory.
