Lions make Jahmyr Gibbs the NFL’s highest-paid running back

The Detroit Lions have agreed to a three-year, $67.5 million contract extension with running back Jahmyr Gibbs, making him the highest-paid running back in NFL history at $22.5 million per year through 2030. The deal surpasses the extension signed just days earlier by Atlanta's Bijan Robinson, who agreed to $22.25 million per year on Tuesday. Gibbs, who has rushed for 39 touchdowns across three NFL seasons in Detroit, signed the extension on Friday according to the Lions.
