Littler clean sweep dream ends at World Series

Luke Littler's bid to become the first player to win all 10 major televised darts tournaments in a calendar year ended in Amsterdam, as the 19-year-old was beaten 10-4 by Jonny Clayton in the World Series of Darts Finals quarterfinals. Clayton was subsequently eliminated by Gerwyn Price 11-7 in the semi-finals, while Ross Smith defeated Gian van Veen 11-8 in the other semi-final. Smith claimed his maiden World Series title by beating Price 11-5 in the final, finishing with an average of 103.89 after winning six consecutive legs from 5-5.
