Littler crushes Price to defend Matchplay title

Luke Littler, aged 19, won his second consecutive Betfred World Matchplay title by defeating Gerwyn Price 18-9 in Blackpool. Littler averaged 111.53 in the final and set a tournament average of 111.04, breaking Phil Taylor's previous record of 106.31. He also hit 12 180s in the final for a tournament total of 66, and became only the third player to successfully defend the Matchplay title after Taylor and Michael van Gerwen.
