LIV Golf calls it quits, to shutter league after failing to find financial support for 2.0 model

LIV Golf has confirmed it is winding down and shutting down operations after failing to secure financial backing for its planned 2.0 model. A key blow came when BC Partners pulled out of a financing deal, leaving the league without the support needed to continue. The Saudi-backed breakaway golf league, which launched in 2022 and caused significant disruption to professional golf, will now cease operations.
