LIV Golf future: Martin Kaymer expresses doubts about circuit

Two-time major champion Martin Kaymer has stated it is 'highly unlikely' that LIV Golf's 2026 team championship will take place, and admitted players are uncertain whether the circuit will even exist in 2027. LIV Golf is facing a serious financial crisis following the withdrawal of Saudi Arabian backing at the end of the current season, after the Kingdom invested more than £3.75 billion over the circuit's first three years. New CEO Scott O'Neil, who took over in January 2025, is attempting to secure the league's future amid the uncertainty.
