LIV Golf slashes payouts amid reports of players not getting paid and a new lawsuit against league
LIV Golf has cut the prize purse for its season finale near Indianapolis nearly in half, from $20 million to $10.1 million, with the winner's share dropping from $4 million to $2 million. The reduction follows reports that players have not been paid for performances at the Bedminster event, and two vendors โ Mobii and Fresh Tape Media โ have filed lawsuits seeking over $1 million and $1.2 million respectively in unpaid fees. The season finale is now being held at The Club at Chatham Hills after the originally planned Michigan finale was canceled, with LIV's financial troubles traced back to April when Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund withdrew its support.
