LIV Golf stars face career ultimatum after DP World Tour snub

The DP World Tour has informed LIV Golf players that it will resume imposing fines and suspensions for violating its conflicting events rules starting next season, ending the temporary reprieve granted in 2025. Earlier in February, eight LIV golfers — including Tyrrell Hatton, Thomas Detry, and Tom McKibbin — signed a deal allowing them to compete in LIV events without penalties for the 2026 season only, while Jon Rahm later negotiated his own conditional release. With that agreement explicitly non-precedent-setting and set to expire, LIV players now face a career ultimatum over their future tour eligibility.
