LIV to wind down after backers withdraw support

LIV Golf is set to announce on Thursday that it will wind down operations after a financing firm withdrew its financial support. The controversial Saudi-backed breakaway golf league had been operating as an alternative to the traditional PGA Tour. The announcement marks a significant development in professional golf, effectively ending LIV Golf's run as a competing tour.
