Liverpool owner in talks to sell stake to QPR co-owner Amit Bhatia

Fenway Sports Group, Liverpool's owner, has confirmed it is in talks to sell a significant minority stake in the club to a consortium led by QPR co-owner Amit Bhatia, backed by his father-in-law and billionaire Indian steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal. The potential deal would value Liverpool Football Club at approximately £4.5 billion. FSG confirmed the negotiations in a statement to the Financial Times.
