London Marathon 2026: Route, start times, celebrity line-up, weather and all you need to know ahead of Sunday's race

The 2026 London Marathon takes place on Sunday, following the traditional route from Greenwich Park and Blackheath through to the finish, with the wheelchair race starting at 8:50am, the women's elite race at 9:05am, and the men's elite race alongside the mass event beginning at 9:35am. The event is one of the Abbott World Marathon Majors and has raised over £1.4 billion for charity since its launch in 1981. Runners begin at colour-coded starts that merge near Charlton by Mile 3, passing landmarks including the Cutty Sark, London Bridge, and Canary Wharf.
