London Marathon runner from Milton Keynes breaks world record

Matt Batchelor, a 40-year-old runner from Milton Keynes, broke the Guinness World Record for Fastest Marathon Dressed as a 3D Toy at the 2025 London Marathon. He completed the 26.2-mile course in 4:19:23 while dressed as Transformer character Optimus Prime, beating the previous record of 4:53:30 by over 34 minutes. Batchelor celebrated by transforming his costume into a truck shape near the finish line on The Mall.
