London Marathon to be held over two days in special one-off event in 2027

The London Marathon will be held across two days for a special one-off edition in 2027, taking place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 April. Organisers confirmed the change after a record 1.33 million people entered the ballot for the event, prompting a search for ways to allow more participants. The two-day format will enable 100,000 people to take part in the 2027 race.
