London to host historic Tour de France event to inspire 'next generation' of female cyclists

London will host the first-ever Tour de France Femmes team time trial in August 2027, featuring an 18km circuit finishing on The Mall near Buckingham Palace. The three UK stages of the race, which also include a peloton route from Leeds to Manchester and Manchester to Sheffield, are expected to become the most attended women's sporting event ever held in Britain. City Hall hopes the historic event will inspire more women and girls to take up cycling across the capital.
