Los Angeles Lakers governor Jeanie Buss is attempting to block her siblings' sale of the family's remaining 17.8% stake in the NBA franchise. Josh Kushner and former Disney CEO Bob Iger agreed a deal last week to purchase a controlling interest in the Lakers from Mark Walter for $12.5 billion. Jeanie Buss, who became the first female controlling owner to guide a team to an NBA championship in 2020, is opposing the transaction.
