Louis Rees-Zammit demands end to artificial Prem pitches after leg burns at Saracens

Bristol and Wales wing Louis Rees-Zammit has publicly called for artificial pitches to be banned from the Premiership after suffering severe friction burns on his right leg during Bristol's defeat at Saracens' StoneX Stadium on Saturday. Rees-Zammit posted a graphic image of his wounds on social media, captioning it with a plea to stop playing on AstroTurf pitches. Bristol head coach Pat Lam also left three players out of the match due to concerns about the artificial surface.
