Luke Humphries withdraws from European Championship

World number two darts player Luke Humphries has withdrawn from the PDC European Championship in Germany due to gastroenteritis. Humphries had been in strong form coming into the tournament, having won the World Grand Prix and reaching the final of the Swiss Darts Trophy, where he lost to Jonny Clayton. Belgian player Kim Huybrechts will replace Humphries and is set to face Ryan Searle when the tournament begins.
