Luke Humphries withdraws from European Championship Darts in Dortmund due to gastroenteritis

World No 2 Luke Humphries has withdrawn from the 2026 European Championship Darts in Dortmund after being diagnosed with gastroenteritis, missing what would have been his sixth appearance at the event. Humphries had finished as runner-up at last year's tournament. Under PDC rules, he will be replaced by Belgium's Kim Huybrechts, the highest-ranked non-qualified player, who will face Ryan Searle on Thursday, with the tournament running from October 22-25.
