Luke Littler suffers Players Championship 27 quarter-final exit with loss to Jermaine Wattimena

Luke Littler, world No 1 in darts and winner of every major PDC title so far in 2026 including the World Championship, Masters, UK Open, Premier League, World Cup of Darts and World Matchplay, was eliminated in the quarter-finals of Players Championship 27 in Leicester. He was beaten 6-5 in a final-leg decider by Dutchman Jermaine Wattimena. The defeat is a setback for Littler's bid to qualify for the Players Championship Finals in November, for which he must finish in the top 64 of the Order of Merit.
