Luke Littler withdraws from Players Championship events after hopes of PDC title sweep dashed

World No 1 darts player Luke Littler, 19, has withdrawn from Players Championship 29 and 30 in Den Bosch, Netherlands, less than 24 hours after being eliminated from the World Series of Darts Finals in Amsterdam. He suffered a 10-4 quarter-final defeat to Jonny Clayton on Sunday, ending his bid to win all PDC major titles in a single season after claiming the first six premier events. Littler had previously threatened to boycott Dutch events following crowd abuse.
