Lyles smashes world 150m best in Ostrava
Noah Lyles set a new world 150m best of 14.67 at the Golden Spike meeting in Ostrava on June 16, 2026, taking a quarter of a second off the previous record of 14.92 set by Kishane Thompson earlier this year. It was Lyles' first time competing at the distance, with the Olympic 100m champion and four-time world 200m champion pulling clear of South Africa's Sinesipho Dambile on the home straight. Dambile finished second in 14.78, also bettering the previous world best.
