Maddison backed to help Spurs avoid relegation

James Maddison made his first competitive appearance in 375 days, coming off the bench in the 85th minute of Tottenham Hotspur's 1-1 draw at home to Leeds United in the Premier League. The midfielder had suffered both a partial and then complete ACL tear, keeping him sidelined since last May. Spurs sit 17th in the Premier League table, just two points above the relegation zone with two games remaining, and manager Roberto De Zerbi believes the squad has the quality to stay up.
