Quarterback Jayden Maiava threw five touchdown passes, including two to freshman tight end Mark Bowman, as No. 14 Southern California defeated Louisiana 49-30 on Saturday night. The Trojans improved to 3-0, finishing their nonconference schedule by totaling 494 yards of offense, with Maiava completing 19 of 29 passes for 261 yards. Freshman receiver Trent Mosley contributed both a receiving touchdown and a punt return score in the victory.
