Maltby Academy boxing scholarship gives students fighting chance

Maltby Academy Trust in Rotherham has launched a boxing scholarship programme for 16 to 19 year-olds, combining elite-level coaching with high-quality education. Sheffield's Dalton Smith, the current WBC super-lightweight world champion, attended the launch event to work out alongside other regional fighters and share experiences from his career. The programme also aims to develop broader skills in participants, including social media, photography, and CV writing, while supporting mental health.
