Man disadvantage in Buffalo. Sabres advance to 2nd round despite anemic power-play production

The Buffalo Sabres advanced to the second round of the NHL playoffs after eliminating the Boston Bruins in six games, despite struggling with one of the worst power-play rates in an NHL playoff series over the past 50 years. Sabres captain Rasmus Dahlin acknowledged the need for improvement on the power play but said it was not a major concern. Buffalo will host Game 1 of the second round on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, against either Tampa Bay or Montreal.
