Man Utd Munich air disaster memorial vandalised

A memorial commemorating the 1958 Munich air disaster, located at 'Manchesterplatz' in Munich, has been vandalised and broken into, with various items stolen from a commemorative glass display case. The memorial honours the 23 people killed, including eight Manchester United players and three staff, when their plane crashed on a Munich runway in February 1958. The Manchester Munich Memorial Foundation (MMMF) confirmed the incident, stating that repairs have already been completed, and chair Ifty Ahmed expressed deep sadness over the act of vandalism and theft.
