Man Utd's Fernandes wins Football Writers' men's award

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has won the Football Writers' Association's men's Footballer of the Year award for the 2025-26 season. The midfielder received 45% of the votes from over 900 FWA members, having scored 8 goals and provided 20 assists in 34 appearances across all competitions. Fernandes is on the verge of becoming the first Premier League player to reach 20 assists in a single season.
