Manchester City win WSL title for second time after Arsenal fail to beat Brighton
Manchester City have won the Women's Super League title for the first time in 10 years, claiming their second-ever WSL crown after Arsenal could only draw 1-1 with Brighton on Wednesday. Arsenal needed to win all three of their games in hand to keep the title race alive, but Fuka Tsunoda's goal for Brighton before half-time, which Frida Maanum's equaliser could not overcome, ended those hopes. City, who had 52 points with one game remaining, last won the league title in 2016 and had finished as runners-up six times since.
