Manchester cruiserweight Pat 'The Bomber' Brown emerged as a major boxing prospect at Manchester's Co-Op Live Arena, defeating undefeated Essex southpaw John Hedges (6'6") in what was described as a thrilling contest. Brown, who had only six professional fights entering the bout, held an amateur pedigree that included an appearance at the 2024 Olympics. The fight, promoted by Matchroom's Eddie Hearn, took place approximately one year after the death of Manchester boxing icon Ricky Hatton.
