Manchester United confirm Carlos Baleba signing as midfield spend nears £150m

Manchester United have completed the signing of Cameroon international midfielder Carlos Baleba from Brighton for a fee of £65m plus £5m in add-ons, with a sell-on clause included. Baleba has signed a five-year contract with a one-year extension option and described United as the 'club of my dreams.' He is the third midfielder signed by United this summer, following Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans, taking the club's total midfield spending to approximately £148m.
