Manchester United must pay Newcastle £3m compensation if they want Eddie Howe

Manchester United would need to pay approximately £3m in compensation to Newcastle United to appoint Eddie Howe as their next manager. Interim boss Michael Carrick is expected to remain in charge temporarily, with his removal only planned once a deal for his successor is finalised. The club's leadership, including director of football Jason Wilcox and CEO Omar Berrada, reviewed Carrick's position following a 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth that left United without a win in eight games.
