Mantha signs 2-year, $9.5 million contact with Devils

Anthony Mantha, a 31-year-old forward, signed a two-year, $9.5 million contract with the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday, carrying an average annual value of $4.75 million. The unrestricted free agent is coming off a career-best season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he recorded 33 goals, 31 assists, and 64 points in 81 regular-season games. Mantha, originally drafted by Detroit in 2013, has accumulated 367 points in 588 career NHL regular-season games across five franchises.
