Manuela Schaer becomes first woman to claim all seven Majors with 2026 Sydney Marathon win

Swiss wheelchair racer Manuela Schaer won the 2026 TCS Sydney Marathon on 30 August, becoming the first female athlete to win all seven Abbott World Marathon Majors. She broke the course record with a time of 1:42:04, surpassing Susannah Scaroni's 2025 mark of 1:44:52, with Eden Rainbow-Cooper finishing second and Tatyana McFadden third. In the men's race, Daniel Romanchuk claimed victory by breaking Marcel Hug's course record, securing his first Major win since 2024.
