Marcell Jacobs runs third fastest 100m time in history – but it won’t count in record books
Italian sprinter Marcell Jacobs ran a wind-assisted 9.67 seconds in the 100m in Austria, which would rank as the third fastest time in history. However, the performance will not be recognised in the official record books because it exceeded the maximum allowable wind assistance limit.
