Marchand says he has had offseason surgery
Florida Panthers forward Brad Marchand, 38, has undergone offseason surgery for an unspecified lower-body injury that cut his 2024-25 NHL season short after his final appearance on March 6. Marchand had recorded 54 points (27 goals, 27 assists) in 52 games before being shut down with 19 games remaining. The surgery will prevent him from participating in Zdeno Chara's farewell charity game, scheduled for August 21 in Trenčín, Slovakia.
