Marcus Foligno surprised with King Clancy Trophy by brother at hospital
Marcus Foligno of the Minnesota Wild was surprised with the King Clancy Memorial Trophy by his brother and teammate Nick Foligno during what he believed was a hospital tour at the Masonic Cancer Center in Minneapolis. The award recognizes a player who demonstrates outstanding leadership and humanitarian contributions, with Foligno earning it for co-founding the Foligno Face-Off alongside Nick, which raised more than $200,000 for breast cancer research in honor of their mother Janis, who died from the disease in 2009. The initiative was a collaboration between the NHL, NHLPA, the Minnesota Wild, the Chicago Blackhawks, and the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
