MARILEIDY PAULINO MAKES HER DEBUT IN THE 2026 DIAMOND LEAGUE: “I WANT TO IMPROVE MY PERSONAL BEST”

Dominican Republic Olympic 400-meter champion Marileidy Paulino is set to make her 2026 Diamond League debut in Doha on Friday, June 19, targeting a new personal best by breaking her current record of 47.98 seconds. Paulino has competed only once this season, winning gold in the 800-meter dash at the 6th Isaac Ogando Invitational in March with a time of 2:04.79. Training injury-free alongside coach Yaseen Pérez, she says she feels strong both physically and mentally heading into the competition.
