Mark Allen holds nerve to beat Wilson and reach world snooker quarter-finals
Mark Allen defeated world No 2 Kyren Wilson 13-9 to advance to the quarter-finals of the World Snooker Championship in Sheffield. The Northern Irishman overcame a shaky start, having previously let slip a 5-0 lead, by winning four of the first six frames in Saturday's morning session. Allen will next face either Barry Hawkins or three-time champion Mark Williams, with Hawkins leading that match 10-6.
