Mark Magsayo stumbles against Andres Cortes in second Zuffa outing

Andres Cortes handed Mark Magsayo a unanimous decision defeat on Sunday, September 13, winning 97-93 on all three scorecards in their 10-round lightweight bout at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Cortes neutralized Magsayo's explosiveness by closing the distance and fighting in close quarters, snapping the Filipino's five-fight winning streak and dropping his record to 29-3 with 19 knockouts. The loss came in Magsayo's second appearance under the Zuffa Boxing banner, on the undercard of the Ryan Garcia-Conor Benn welterweight title clash.
