Mark Mitchell, Seth Trimble and Thomas Castellanos among athletes who remain eligible after Kentucky judge denies NCAA emergency stay

A Kentucky judge denied an NCAA emergency stay, leaving athletes Mark Mitchell, Seth Trimble, and Thomas Castellanos eligible to compete under the NCAA's new five-for-five eligibility model. Mitchell and Trimble, both from the 2022 high school class, are set to play basketball for Missouri and Louisville respectively in the 2026-27 season. Castellanos is currently playing football for Texas Tech.
