Martínez exposes Man United's harsh reality: Top brass to blame, not Carrick

Lisandro Martínez sparked controversy after Manchester United's 2-0 UEFA Champions League defeat to Atlético Madrid at the Metropolitano by publicly criticising the club's owners and decision-makers in a post-match interview with Amazon Prime. The Argentine defender blamed serious underinvestment by United's top brass, including the Glazer family and minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, for the club falling behind its rivals. The loss was United's third defeat in five games, continuing what has been described as a miserable season for the club.
