Martin stuns fellow Aprilias for British GP pole

Jorge Martin secured pole position for the MotoGP British Grand Prix at Silverstone on August 8, 2026, setting a new lap record of 1m56.160s to lead an all-Aprilia front row alongside Trackhouse riders Raul Fernandez and Ai Ogura. It was Martin's 22nd career MotoGP pole and his second in the last three races, extending his championship lead. Factory Ducati rider Pecco Bagnaia suffered a major setback, failing to advance beyond Q1 and qualifying in 16th place, his worst qualifying result of the season.
