Martínez apologises to Manchester United’s director of football Wilcox after outburst

Lisandro Martínez has apologised to Manchester United's director of football Jason Wilcox after publicly criticising him for failing to strengthen the squad sufficiently during the summer transfer window. The apology followed talks with manager Michael Carrick and the club hierarchy on Thursday. While the club will not publicly disclose any disciplinary action, it is believed Martínez has been fined.
