Martínez slams Utd hierarchy: Squad not UCL quality

Lisandro Martínez publicly criticised Manchester United's hierarchy, specifically director of football Jason Wilcox, following a 2-0 Champions League defeat to Atlético Madrid. The Argentine defender argued the club failed to invest adequately in the summer transfer window, spending just £150 million on new signings — less than their Big Six rivals. Martínez's comments came with manager Michael Carrick having won only one of his last seven games, as pressure mounts on the club both on and off the pitch.
