Massey-Ellis to retire for new FA refereeing job

Sian Massey-Ellis, a Premier League assistant referee since 2010, is retiring from officiating after more than 150 top-flight appearances. She will take on a new role as senior manager for women referees at the Football Association. During her career, she became the only woman to serve on an FA Cup final officiating team, earned an MBE in 2016, and worked at the 2019 and 2023 FIFA Women's World Cups.
