Mathieu van der Poel VS Tom Pidcock returns this Sunday at the MTB World Championships

Mathieu van der Poel and Tom Pidcock are both confirmed to compete at the 2026 MTB World Championships in Val di Sole, Italy, scheduled for Sunday, August 30, 2026. Van der Poel made his return to mountain biking the previous Sunday at the Les Gets World Cup round, representing team Alpecin-Premier Tech. At the 2025 World Championships in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, Van der Poel had finished 29th after placing sixth at Les Gets.
