Matt Richardson withdrawn from Great Britain squad for Track Cycling World Championships amid misconduct allegations

British sprinter Matt Richardson, 27, has been withdrawn from the Great Britain squad for the 2026 Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Shanghai, where he had been entered in three events. British Cycling confirmed he is in the process of leaving the team's base in China, but gave no reason for the decision. The Times reported the withdrawal is linked to a misconduct investigation, though British Cycling has declined to comment on the specific allegations.
