Matteo Jorgenson changes Tour plan, joins Van Aert in France
Matteo Jorgenson, riding for Visma | Lease a Bike, will return to racing on Sunday at the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes after breaking his collarbone in a crash caused by Kévin Vauquelin at the Amstel Gold Race. The American had originally planned to ride the Tour of Switzerland as his Tour de France preparation, but has changed course following a recovery camp in Sierra Nevada. Jorgenson will join teammate Wout van Aert on the French race route as he builds toward his key support role for Jonas Vingegaard at the Tour de France.
